Omfattning

This RFI is conducted by Pensionsmyndigheten, the Swedish Pensions Agency, on behalf of Fondtorgsnämnden (FTN), The Swedish Fund Selection Agency (the Authorities).  

FTN procures, reviews and quality-assures the funds in the Swedish premium pension system in order to make funds of high quality available to all pensions savers in Sweden.  

 

FTN plans to announce a procurement of a Compliance Scree­ning Service, in June 2025. It should be noted that there are other names for such a service, for example Due Diligence services, KYC, sanctions screening. We would also like to inform you that, in parallel with this RFI and upcoming procurement, FTN is exploring the possibilities for procuring a coherent business system, of which due diligence is a central part.   This RFI is part of the background research that FTN is conducting to explore the available services to perform elements of the checks within the agency’s mandate, stipulated by law.

Question on Server location and data residency:
a) Is it mandatory to have the servers located in Sweden? Would it be acceptable to have the servers located in Ireland?
b) In case if it is mandatory to keep the servers in Sweden, Would it be acceptable to access/manage the servers from Ireland?

Svar 2025-04-23

Hi,

 

No mandatory requirements have been established as of yet. We are exploring the possibilities of a procurement that ensures that the servers are located in Sweden, in the European Economic Area, or in locations where an adequacy decision under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is in place.
