Some questions in regards to the document RFI_CMS_MCM.pdf which we would like to have a clarification on:
1. Page 3, in the circle diagram:
a. What does Mission Registration mean?
b. What does Mission Reports include?
c. Does the sonar system used/supply “Uw SVP Prediction Tools”?
d. What are “Analysis Tools for Uw Sensors”? Is it just detector and classifier?
2. Page 3, line under Figure 3. What is ”exports of registration”? Is “registrations” the same as MILECs and contacts?
3. Page 3, 5th bullet point: What part of the CMS is interested in data from the Sound Velocity Profile System? Is it integrated into the Sonar Pilot or Sonar System?
4. Page 3, 6th bullet point: What is a Security Log Server? What kind of data exchange is there between the CMS and the Security Log Server? Could it be that the CMS is retrieving the current user name from the Security Log Server in order to log CMS activities performed by that user?
5. Page 3, 7th bullet point: Why would there be a need for the CMS to integrate with the Communications System? Who is the receiving party? What is meant by “tactical data” and “tactical communication”?
6. Page 3, 9th bullet point: How to integrate with the Radar? Are we only talking about transfer of ARPA targets to the CMS?
7. Page 3, 11th bullet point: What does Mine Warfare Data include?
8. Page 4, 1st bullet point: What is a Ship Signature? Is it the same as a ship sound signature? For what is it used?

1a. Mission Registration is the data registered by the CMS in order to generate analysis and reports in line with appendix A.
1b. See above
1c. The UW SVP Prediction Tool in CMS may be integrating/integrated with SVP modules in sonars but is preferably providing predictions and analysis functions.
1d. The analysis tools for Uw Sensors are primarily for the assessment of sonar ranges and coverage/clearance.
2. The registrations are more detailed in List of requested information on page 7 in RFI.
3. The indicated Sound Velocity Profile System would provide data from a disposable probe. The position and data from the SVP would be available and marked in CMS in order to support analysis and planning.
4. The security logs are more detailed in List of requested information on page 7 in RFI.
5. The integration of tactical data communication with CMS are primarily for the exchange of situation picture and mission data between units.
6. The radar may be providing tracks as well as video to CMS depending on the system and interface.
7. Mine Warfare Data includes data of registered objects.
8. Ship signature is data concerning e.g. sound, magnetic and even turn rate characteristics. The data may be used for mission planning.
