In you RFI you state that you need to understand the cost associated with deploying the solution in an air gapped environment.
Could you please elaborate on this requirement and the reasoning as to why this is a requirement?
As we see it, it would be impossible for a true SaaS service like for example Microsoft Entra to be deployed in an air-gapped environment.
Would we be correct in assuming that this would exclude true SaaS services hosted on for example AWS or similar cloud infrastructure to be considered for this RFI?

For the air-gapped solution, we are asking for a second installation. The requirements stem from security reasons since that environment is not connected to Internet at all. Since we are in the phase of RFI we don’t have all detailed requirements yet from Trafikförvaltningen, but there may, or may not, be a need for the mentioned second installation – however we would like to understand how a second installation would affect the overall cost. The original installation (or first if you will), will not be air-gapped. If your solution does not work air-gapped, please write that in your answer and ignore any costs associated with a second installation. It is not decided yet whether “a true SaaS” will be considered or not.
